New York Cheesecake…For 1.

so lets talk desserts!

Nothing is better than desserts, whether it’s a cookie, a piece of cake, or just old fashion s’mores!

So the other day I was craving a dessert & I found this recipe for single serving cheesecakes, so I gave it a whirl.

So here is what I needed:

• Enough Graham Crackers to coat the bottom of mini cupcake tins (about 1 cup).
• A cup of raspberries
• A cup of sugar
• A brick of cream cheese (which is about 8 oz).
• 1 Tablespoon of Vanilla Extract.
• 1 egg
• 3 oz of melted butter.

The first step was to mash the Graham Crackers and fill them into mini cupcake tins!

After that you beat the sugar, egg, cream cheese & vanilla extract together. Once that is completely smooth, I spooned it into the mini cupcake tins; right on top of the graham cracker bottom.

I popped these babies in the oven for 15 min then stuck them in the fridge for an hour!

And here they are!

 

Finally, those little cheesecake poppers are perfect for summer. I just placed a raspberries on top & they were a wonderful easy dessert.

Watch Hill Love.

Watch Hill = dream spot!

Literally Watch Hill is one of my ultimate favorite places to go…EVER!

I love Watch Hill because it is filled with cute shops (that sell good clothes), ice cream that is awesome & is filled with beautiful beach dream houses!

All I want to do with my life is move into that gray house, wear Ralph Lauren everyday & go to the beach all summer.

So besides all the wonderful amenities of Watch Hill, the beach is vibrant & never super crowded which is great!

Besides a ton of sunscreen ( emphasis on a ton), I also wore a white long shirt from Anthropologie, for walking on the beach. I paired this shirt with black Lululemon running shorts while walking around the town & in the car. & a vineyard vine hat to protect myself from the sun.

So after a fun day of lying on the beach & swimming in the ocean. I ate some lobster & called it a day. Yum, Yum, Yum.

Oh & that white beach house is owned by Taylor Swift! How cool is that (I totally want)!

Morning Adventures.

so after a weekend of watching the TPA golf tournament; I decided to go and having an early T-time with my cousins & Matt.

So I figured out that I am epically bad at golf, but really great at putting (so at least I can do something)! It took as a while to play 9 holes (about 2.5 hours) but it was a fun time filled with Dunkin Iced Coffee (so win win).

So of course you have to dress the part for golf…

So here is what I wore: Shirt// J.Crew Factory. Pants// Vineyard Vines. Earnings// Kate Spade.

Overall it was a fun time with a little bit of exercise & a lot of fun on the golf karts! So will we play again…for sure!

Long Locks.

hot summers & long hair does not mix! After many weeks of having to pull these locks up & away from my face; I just decided to chop it off!

Ahhh. Okay if you’re a girl then you understand that cutting your hair isn’t always easy! But I went for it & am fully satisfied with my shorter hair!

What I am wearing today: Dress// J.Crew. Purse// Rebecca Minkoff. Sunglasses// Ray-Ban.

Beach Essentials!

hey hey…so summertime = beach time so I am laying out my beach essentials!

So here we go:

Literally I have been laying on this beach towel all weekend with my beach essentials.

Nothing is more important than having a hat// mine is Vineyard Vines, Sunglasses// Ray-Ban, & a snack// Luna Bars are always my go to.

So sometimes just sitting in the sun/shade can get a little boring (Ik life is hard lol), so I always bring out some serious entertainment.

I always bring a Magazine// Glamour (is my fav) & my IPad to play music. IPad retro case// Kate Spade!

Finally & most importantly….Hydration!

I always make sure to either bring a bottle of water or some ice tea. sooo yesterday I mixed some seltzer water with lemon & lime juice to make a little afternoon refresher, & drank up!

Anyways I am off back to the pool & enjoying the sun :)!

Burgers & Romance

 

 

soo.

Not to be one of “those girls” but yesterday Matt & I reached our “5 year” of dating each other mark. Which is super weird because that means we meet when we were practically babies (yikes).

Anyways we decided to celebrate with burgers…because what is more romantic than that! So we went out to Max Burgers in downtown West Hartford & ate up! West Hartford is always one of my favorite places to go because it is surrounded by good shops & even better dessert places (Ben & Jerry’s!!).

So the question of course was….what to wear!

I wore a Navy & White Stripped (high-low) dress from Anthropologie & decked myself out in accessories

I took the strap off of my Rebecca Minkoff purse & used it as a clutch. I wore my Tiffany & Co. Charm bracelet & a Cape Cod bracelet as well. & we can’t forget…Kate Spade earnings, of course!

It was sooo nice having a little dinner out to celebrate the triumph that is 5 years with that little mr. I always love going out to dinner though because I can rarely & barely cook anyways.

A Snuggled in Summer

wow.

After only a few weeks of summer, I have never seen so much rain in my life.

Okay that may be a little dramatic, but my year in San Diego was almost rain free (amazing ik) but sadly & uniquely it looks like this summer is going to be a wet one. Which overall isn’t fully a bummer, because it’s an excuss to still wear leggings outside of the house all year-long.

With the AC off & the pool flooding with rain, it looks like it’s rain for the rest of the week & possibly most of the summer (yikes). While rain isn’t ideal; it’s kind of fun to soak in, after my year of summer in San Diego  the variety is nice).

Rain = preparation! So listen up. You can’t let the rain, literally rain on your parade (lol), no we must prepare & make the most of the rainiest days. So below are my must have’s for this rainy east coast summer!

 

You must have a happy rain jacket. The reason why I say “happy” jacket is because you might as well emphases the summer clothing colors, rain or shine! A preppy/happy rain jacket adds a much-needed pop of color, into your outfit.

The next MUST is…RAINBOOTS! I love rainboots (or just boots in general) so it’s fun on rainy days when I get to pull out these little fellows. A plus is there boots are supper comfy & can make a snuggly outfit look more put together.

ummm (obvi) but a warm cup of coffee is essential! Ice coffee is fun but when the rainy days come, it’s hot french vanilla coffee for me!

Finally but most importantly!

A snuggle buddy & a good book! So besides watching movies & TV all day everyday (the kardashian marathon kept me occupied for a while on last week’s rain days) it’s important to have a good, no great book to read.

Watching TV makes me feel like a slow slug, so reading a book is usually my preference. So typically I run out, grab some coffee, come back & snuggle with that lovely creature above, while reading.

Yea…lying inside under blankets isn’t a conventual summer but nothing truly is every conventual.

Currently Loving…

Even though I have been home for almost a month, (weird) I am still so appreciative of starting off my relaxing summer. Below are some of my favorite summer essentials, which I have been using all week.

Summer days are easy to get lost in & it’s fun not knowing you have a paper due Friday; yet at the same time it’s easy to let the summer just escape from you. I always try to plan something each day, in order to make sure I get the most out of my summer!

It can be hard trying to leave your bed or the pool; but it’s important to get out & still be productive in the summer haze. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in just chilling (it’s sad ik).

So I am going to try to appreciate the little things; while being productive.

Finally. After weeks of being “in summer”, it’s finally actually feeling like summer. The warm weather is breaking through & my pool is open & ready to go. So as the warm CT weather comes, everyone has to prepare as it gets hot hot hot (& mosquitoy).

In order to fully embrace the great outdoors (or my backyard) & stay cool & comfy  it’s important to wear lightweight clothing. 

Shirt: Sporting a Madewell Muscle Tee (the perfect thing for summer days!). Shoes: Of course, I wore my infamous Jack Rogers. Pants: A pair of cotton cropped Vineyard Vine pants.

 

 

 

okay so this is my go to summer shirt! With the summer heat coming, this shirt “goes with the flow”, yet is still able to give you a put together look.

Perfection. Everyone go out & enjoy that summer sun, whether you’re at the beach or the pool (& I tend to stick to the pool).

What’s to come? Look forward to a lot of posts on beach attires (yay)!

June Bugging!

ahhhhh!!

okay I know it has been June for a few days now, but it has been crazzzzy (to say the least). So I’m breaking it all down for you now: June 1st was my 20th birthday (weird I’m 20 now, ik), & starting June 15th my blog is getting a fab make-over by Blog-Doo (so excited to work with these ladies)!.

Sooooo between being twenty & getting a crazy exciting blog facelift; I am literally basking in my June glory (but bugging out a bit, at the same time)!

How is there so much to do, within one month! Between sending out Thank You Cards from my bday contributors, to starting a new job at Anthropologie…JUNE HAS BEEN CRAZY!

 

Yet no matter what, June is always my favorite month of the year. While some may say that’s due to my birthday (kicking the month off right); I personally have just been bitten by the love-bug, when it comes to June.

But c’mon who doesn’t love June!

Everyone is finishing school, the flowers & trees are in prime beautification & it’s not to hot outside (basically perfect weather = 80 degrees). I hope you guys are keeping cool & enjoying your June days, just as much as me!

I’ll keep you all super up-to date on the exciting blog makeup over. It will hopefully be completed & put into full usage, by the end of July! So until then, stay tuned for exiting changes (ahhh)!
