June Bugging!

ahhhhh!!

okay I know it has been June for a few days now, but it has been crazzzzy (to say the least). So I’m breaking it all down for you now: June 1st was my 20th birthday (weird I’m 20 now, ik), & starting June 15th my blog is getting a fab make-over by Blog-Doo (so excited to work with these ladies)!.

Sooooo between being twenty & getting a crazy exciting blog facelift; I am literally basking in my June glory (but bugging out a bit, at the same time)!

How is there so much to do, within one month! Between sending out Thank You Cards from my bday contributors, to starting a new job at Anthropologie…JUNE HAS BEEN CRAZY!

 

Yet no matter what, June is always my favorite month of the year. While some may say that’s due to my birthday (kicking the month off right); I personally have just been bitten by the love-bug, when it comes to June.

But c’mon who doesn’t love June!

Everyone is finishing school, the flowers & trees are in prime beautification & it’s not to hot outside (basically perfect weather = 80 degrees). I hope you guys are keeping cool & enjoying your June days, just as much as me!

I’ll keep you all super up-to date on the exciting blog makeup over. It will hopefully be completed & put into full usage, by the end of July! So until then, stay tuned for exiting changes (ahhh)!

Night on the Town…

hi hi,

So last night my friends & I thought it would be fun to dress up & head out to one of our local casinos for some fun & food! 

How, pretty in pink is that sculpture (gorgeous); but anyways we all just hung out, played some cards & wrapped it up with a mall trip & some Godiva (winning). 

I sported a Ralph Lauren straight dress & a pair of black tall boots! I was able to stay warm, be comfy, and have a fun night on the town, with all these goons. 

 

sooooooooo it was a fun & cheap way to kick off the summer, in a sort of classy-comfy way!

& the shopping was really great, but most importantly there was a Ben & Jerry’s…..so my day was made (chocolate therapy all the way)!

Casually Just Chilling

 

So with all the thunderstorms blowing through CT, it has been a just chilling, musical movies, cooking kind of days. 

It’s always 100% tempting to wear sweatpants and never leave the house, especially when it’s pouring like Noah’s Arc outside. Yet on rainy days (or weeks) it is important to be casual, but still cloth yourself with some dignity. 

Above I am sporting a simple J.Crew Factory Tee, a Henri Bendel purse (which I am currently obsessed with) and finally a Vineyard Vine Hat.

& of course I played some Bocce Ball, in-between the floods! While wearing my go to summer shoes!

With all the rain outside, the pool has been in minimum use & the greenery has been on overdrive.

Putting on the Green

Summer nights, aren’t complete without mini golf. So casually my family plus Matthew, packed up and headed over to Wethersfield to play some mini golf & grab some dinner.

I (shockingly) didn’t win mini golf this round, which is unusual because I tend to be pretty good in the sport of mini golf. However the competition was close and the fashion was on key! 

I wore: a casual beaded baseball tee from J.Crew, aquamarine track shorts from LuluLemon, and super comfy & broken in Jack Rogers. 

The mini golf in New England is supreme & extremely entertaining as it’s a season sport on The East Coast. After harsh winters & rainy springs; a packed mini golf course is like a sign that summer is finally here (thank god)!

I typically love the pirate themed mini golf courses (it’s sad that I have a preference, I know). The pirate themed courses tend to be fun, cause they usually have really cute themed holes; yet this round we went to a safari themed park & it was pretty legit.

It was equipped with a variety of Africa animals as seen above; which made for some fun picture-taking (& trust me we did a ton of picture-taking). Including some hilarious preppy cameos.

Overall mini golf was a success & will probably be a weekly tradition (I’m kind of secretly addicted)!

Just a Cool Kat.

So cute right?
Everyone meet my new kitten…Thumper. The name is due to her clumsiness & adorable loudness.

She is literally the cutest thing ever & managed riding in the car like a pro! This little nugget is probably the best cuddler around (no offense to you Matthew). So I figured there is no better way to brighten your Saturday, than to show you a majestic picture of my kitten :).

I hope everyone gets a glimmer of cute kittens & relaxation into their Saturday!

Progress Not Perfection!

With finals around the corner, I hope everyone is staying calm, cool & collected!! I’m going into the finals frenzy with this quote in mind! Progress is important but getting a 100 is a little unrealistic (and we all know it). So keep calm, cool, and strive for great…but don’t torture yourself over anything less than great (after all it’s just one test)!

May Day!!

Hi hi!

It’s May! 

Thank God, May is finally here. After a beyond brutal semester…the light at the end of the tunnel is getting close!

It’s almost summer & it’s starting to feel that way too! The flowers are in bloom, ice coffee is plentiful & people are moving in & out!

I can’t wait for the official start of lazy days & getting pool side tan. Just a few more weeks (21 days to be exact) until summer’s kickoff! I hope everyone’s ready!

Negative Nellies

I can’t even.

The one thing that is truly endangering, is surrounding yourself with negative energy.

College ladies listen up!

These are the people who no matter what you do, or what they do… somehow there is always an issue (like are you kidding me).

Without a doubt I know a handful of these people & it’s time to cut them out, right now. Nobody has the time or the energy to deal with negative energy (especially between courses, jobs, papers, & teachers). Life is already a struggle; I do not have time for the negative energy producers (ew)!

So as I come to the end of my sophomore year (I can’t believe it);  it truly is time to cut out the negative nellies & cherish the freaking amazing people.

I am beyond excited for this summer & the revamp of The Coastal Confidence. With so many great things in the world; I don’t even understand how negative nellies survive. I once thought if you can’t beat them, than kill them with kindness.

But with only 3 weeks left of school…it’s time to cut the junk out & have a blast with the girls!

Let the Countdown Begin!

Finally!

With only 3 & a half weeks till summer it’s time to start a countdown! Stressed between tests & projects this summer is looking more & more tempting.

Yet with summer around the corner, it’s time to start buying those country concert, bikinis & baseball tickets. I’ll be heading back to the East Coast (CT) for the summer & I can’t wait.

With plans including: The Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts Tickets, & Red Sox Games…this summer is starting to fall into place.

The master plan is to: Care Less & Relax More! Especially before Junior Year of college starts (& the real world comes for me).

Can’t Wait for Summer 2014!! (& my 20th birthday)!!
